What is a TCG?
Online Trading Card Games are similar to the trading cards you knew as a child. Rather than playing in person and collecting cards from packs at the store, you collect everything online. The goal is to collect all of the cards you like, also know as mastering a deck. Online TCGs are free to play, a lot of fun, and very addictive! Interested in joining? Check out the rest of this section before moving on to the join form!
Trade Post
Before you join, you need a place to store your stuff, also know as a trade post. To make life easier for you and for your fellow TCG members, you should separate your cards--at least into groups of keeping and trading. You are also required to keep a detailed card log, showing how you got every card. The final thing you need on your site is a way to contact you, either a form or an email link, so you can trade. Remember to be clear of your trading rules, for example if you have a "Maybe Trade" section, specify the only way you would trade away those cards such as only for "Currently Collecting" or "Keeping" section. Say if you are willing to trade any card, no matter if they do or don't have what you need - this is particular great way to fill up those Tradecards.
Check out mine for inspiration. If you don't have your own website, feel free to use whatever type of free hosting site such as Neocities, Dreamwidth, LiveJournal, or see if TCG Publicity still hosting. If hosted site, I'd suggest using easyTCG which is a great program to use.
Remember to get your starter pack up at your tradepost within 2 weeks.
Please try to update at least every 2 months, preferably more, but I know RL can and will get in the way, so feel free to put yourself on hiatus or if you absolutely must quit so members know what's happening when they are trying to trade with you. I suggest putting a notice on your Tradepost so members are aware. Please note I will more likely put you on hiatus if you haven't updated or tradeposts go down, I will not delete any members in case you guys want to come back.
I highly suggest you join our dreamwidth community which will be a place where trades, games, contests, freebies, and other miscellaneous stuff happens. Back in the day we once had forums, this time around, we're trying the DW community to switch it up a bit. It is completely optional, but if you want more ways to earn cards and interact with our other members I definitely suggest it.
TCG Rules & Guidelines
- Please don't cheat.
- Make sure you comment on any updates/freebie posts with your cards that you take and no more that 2 cards from the same deck (unless other restrictions apply).
- No direct linking.
- Link back to the Capes and Crusaders
- Please no hate between players about them and/or the various characters/relationships/fandoms here, while we all may not like everything, the whole point of this TCG is to have fun and enjoy time with people of similar interests!
